Beloved PDF

The Book of Exodus is the foundation to understanding our Redemption through Christ. It is necessary to study this in order to understand the Gospels. In this commentary Frances applies the messages beloved PDF the spiritual journey, as outlined in the Book of Exodus, to our daily lives. The Psalms, divinely inspired, are universal in their message.

Frances’s insights into some of these sacred songs throw light upon the spiritual life, and upon the difficulties of human experience. People who lived 2500 years ago can still share the riches of their lives with us. In this spiritual commentary Frances reveals afresh the truths of John’s gospel. No one has had a greater insight into the message of Christ than the beloved disciple, John. Here is a treasury of inspiration for anyone who truly wants to walk in the footsteps of Christ. Frances discovers why St Thérèse is a model for the lay-person.

Thérèse offered to her Creator her suffering borne in love despite a prayer-life of darkness and aridity. It was her little way of love and confidence in God which any of us can follow. This commentary seeks to show the very human picture of Jesus portrayed by St Luke. He is seen as the image of what God intended the Redeemed to be like. Jesus’ tenderness towards the most needy in society is the headline for our lives. The struggle of the first disciples to understand Jesus and His patient dealings with them encourages modern disciples. In the Bible we witness forgiveness so triumphant that in several cases enemies are profoundly changed.

When we see a public example of forgiveness, we see the triumph of good in a particularly vivid way. Loving means forgiving our neighbour as God in Christ forgave you. But there are solutions which work, right through to victory and joy. Jesus’ teaching presents us with a choice : God’s will or self-will, the narrow road to life or the wide road to destruction.

Having chosen the right road, how are we to stay on it ? Having chosen God’s way, the Christian hears a new call : the call to holiness. God calls us back to our true nature, the nature we share with Him, since we are created in His image. If we are to walk with God and share the secrets of His heart, then we must become holy like Him ! Frances Hogan shares the awe she experiences in studying the Bible. We marvel with her at the ways of God in dealing with His beloved children. She answers the critics’ toughest questions.
